v1.4 Final GBA Current Release
May 26, 2026
Final GBA Development Release

Version 1.4 Final GBA is the last planned Miladygotchi build for Game Boy Advance development. It preserves the completed care loop, SRAM saving, Direct Sound music, Mode 4 rendering fixes, browser play support, and final studio-credit screen in a release intended to close the GBA branch.

  • Declared the GBA branch complete and labeled the ROM as the final version on the Milady Game Studios startup credit screen.
  • Promoted the current build from the beta checkpoint to v1.4 Final GBA across the public site, browser emulator page, downloads, and changelog.
  • Confirmed the Gotchi care loop: hunger rises only when Burgi or Cookie inventory is consumed, fun rises through play and minigames, HP rises through gifts, and care stats decay during active play when neglected.
  • Restored timer/DMA Direct Sound music playback for the title OST and cheese theme, while keeping PSG routed for button, shop, reward, error, and care sound effects.
  • Fixed shared Mode 4 palette conflicts by remapping portrait pixels away from the UI-reserved palette range at load time.
  • Modernized title, collection, selector, Gotchi, Konbini, inventory, cheese, and Beetleboy minigame screens with clearer GBA-era panels and less text collision.
  • Aligned controls to visible prompts: START opens the title prompt, A confirms core flows, B returns, and L/R/SELECT remain only where the interface calls them out.
  • Centralized capped $CULT rewards at 99,999 across passive income, cheese sales, slots, Memory Match, Beetle Hunt, and Legend of Milady.
  • Added a mobile touch controller to the browser emulator so phone users can play with D-pad, A/B, START/SELECT, and L/R buttons.
  • Preserved old ROM downloads in the archive instead of replacing the historical builds.
Release Intent

Why This Entry Matters

The build ties together the final ROM polish pass and the web release pass: the downloadable cartridge image, the in-browser emulator, and the changelog now point to the same v1.4 Final GBA release.

Preservation Note

Legacy Builds Remain Public

Older ROMs are still available and clearly labeled. That keeps the site useful for preservation, comparison, and documenting how Miladygotchi evolved over time.
